Pregnancy is often described as a time of excitement and transformation. But in reality, it can also be filled with uncertainty, information overload, and a quiet kind of loneliness that few people talk about.
Even when you’re surrounded by friends or family, it’s possible to feel completely alone in what you’re experiencing. Perhaps you’re asking yourself, is this normal or should I feel more prepared by now. Maybe you’re simply longing for a space to talk about how you really feel.
At Nest, we’ve supported hundreds of women through pregnancy, birth and beyond. And if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s this:
You weren’t meant to do this alone.
That’s why we’ve created something gentle, grounded and truly helpful.
Free WhatsApp Support Groups for Pregnant Women in Glasgow
Our new pregnancy WhatsApp groups are free to join and open to any pregnant woman in Glasgow or the surrounding areas. Whether you’re in your first trimester or nearing your due date, this space is here to hold you.
The groups are hosted by Jenny, Aurelia and Hollie — experienced facilitators from the Nest team who are deeply passionate about pregnancy, birth and maternal wellbeing.
This is not a forum. It’s not a noisy Facebook group. It’s not another app full of articles and opinions.
It’s a private, supportive WhatsApp space where you can connect with other local women, ask questions, and feel part of something.
What to Expect from the Nest WhatsApp Group
Each week, we will gently guide the conversation by sharing a prompt, quote or journal question related to birth preparation or the postpartum period.
You are welcome to:
Respond to the weekly topic
Ask questions about pregnancy, birth and motherhood (non-medical)
Share honestly about how you’re feeling
Support and learn from others in the group
There is no expectation to participate every day. This space is designed to be calm, helpful and respectful of your time and energy.
Who Is This For?
These free WhatsApp groups are for:
Pregnant women based in Glasgow or nearby
First-time mums and experienced parents alike
Those craving honest connection without pressure
Women preparing for birth who want more than just information
Anyone navigating the emotional and physical shifts of pregnancy
You don’t need to be doing pregnancy a certain way. You don’t need to be a yoga mum, a birth plan expert or a mindset pro. If you’re pregnant and looking for community, this space is for you.
What This Group Is Not
To protect the integrity of the space, we want to be clear about what this group is not:
It is not a place to give or receive medical advice
It is not a space for debate or unsolicited opinions
It is not a group that will overwhelm you with constant notifications
Boundaries matter. We will keep the tone kind, thoughtful and supportive. You can dip in and out in your own time.
Why We Created This Pregnancy Support Group
So many of us at Nest have experienced how lonely pregnancy can feel at times. Especially in those in-between weeks when your appointments are far apart, your sleep is broken, and your emotions are all over the place.
We believe that the right kind of support is simple. It doesn’t have to be formal or overwhelming. Sometimes it’s just one thoughtful message or one honest conversation that makes all the difference.
This group is our way of offering that to you.
