By Nest. Our New Signature PostPartum Pathway

When I opened Nest, I did what I thought was right. Time, experience and your feedback has been invaluable and I have spent a long time structuring whats next for Nest. I didn't just want to add to the timetable. I wanted to create a movement pathway that genuinely supported mothers through the physical, emotional and mental shifts of postpartum and early motherhood.

Over the past 9 months of being open, many mums told me the same thing:

I don’t know where to start.”

“I’m not sure what’s right for my body right now.”

“I feel like I’m guessing my way through recovery.”

There is a clear need for structure, guidance and progression, something that felt safe, thoughtful and designed specifically for the realities of motherhood.

This is how the signature series came to life:

By Nest.

A four-stage movement pathway created with intention, specialist knowledge and lived experience.

Rebuild. Balance. Strong. Rest.

Postpartum recovery deserves more depth than “one type of class”

Postpartum healing isn’t linear. It doesn’t happen in a neat six-week window. It evolves alongside sleep deprivation, feeding patterns, hormone shifts, emotional load, returning to work, and the simple demands of caring for a tiny human.

Offering just “postnatal yoga” or “mum and baby fitness” felt too narrow. Mothers needed something that recognised each phase of recovery, from reconnection to stability to strength to deep rest.

The series was built so every mum can find themselves in it:

  • Rebuild when everything feels unfamiliar

  • Balance when you begin to move with a bit more ease

  • Strong when confidence and capability are returning

  • Rest when the nervous system needs soothing and integration

It’s recovery with context. Strength with compassion. Progression with clarity.

Specialist-led guidance removes the guesswork

So many mums arrive at Nest unsure what their pelvic floor needs, what their core is doing, or whether certain movements are helpful or harmful. Postpartum can bring tension, weakness, instability, pain, leaking, disconnect, often all at once.

Our team works with pre and postpartum mothers almost every day. We understand everything motherhood places on a body.

The signature series allows us to embed that knowledge directly into the pathway. Each class is purposeful. Each stage builds on the last. You’re never left wondering if you’re doing the right thing, the structure holds you.

Children need to be welcome and mothers need to stop apologising for them

The reality of early motherhood is simple: childcare isn’t always available. Schedules are unpredictable. Babies need feeding, toddlers need reassurance, and mums need a place where this doesn’t feel like an inconvenience.

So our classes are designed intentionally:

  • Rebuild welcomes pre-crawlers

  • Balance and Strong welcome children up to age four

Movement shouldn’t require permission or perfect conditions. It should fit into your life, not fight against it.

Early recovery requires reconnection more than intensity

Many mums think they should “get back to it” quickly — but the body thrives when the foundations come first. That’s where Rebuild comes in.

Rebuild

A fusion of yoga, pilates, somatics and breathwork. Pre-crawlers welcome.

This class focuses on deep core awareness, pelvic floor strategy, mobility and releasing tension. It’s slow, steady and deeply supportive, perfect for reconnecting with a body that might feel unfamiliar. Rebuild reminds you that early healing is not about pushing; it’s about understanding, awareness and gentle strength.

Progression into strength needs a supportive middle step

Most mums aren’t ready to leap from gentle movement straight into fitness. The gap is too wide. They need a phase where the body relearns stability, alignment and control.....

Balance

A fusion of yoga, pilates, somatics and breathwork. Children up to age 4 welcome.

Balance helps develop posture, stability, core strategy and mobility. It’s the bridge between healing and strength, a place where confidence grows and the body starts to feel more capable again.

It’s the “I’m not quite ready for high intensity, but I want more” class.

Functional strength matters for motherhood

Car seats. Prams. Carrying toddlers. Bending. Lifting. Crawling on the floor. Motherhood is strength training, it's unpredictable and repetitive.

Many mums want to feel strong again but worry about their pelvic floor or core. They’re unsure how to build confidence safely.

Strong

A fusion of cardio, bodyweight and lightweight fitness with mobility. Children up to age 4 welcome.

This class brings thoughtful, low-impact strength work designed for postpartum bodies. We prioritise functional movement patterns, pelvic floor safety and mobility so strength feels empowering, not risky.

Strong helps you feel capable and energised in all the ways motherhood requires.

The nervous system plays a central role in recovery and is often the most neglected part

Postpartum and early motherhood are full of noise, stimulation and constant responsibility. The nervous system is under strain long before the body steps into a movement class.

Many mums don’t realise how much tension they’re holding until they finally stop.

Rest

A restorative sound bath.

Rest closes the pathway. It invites calm, softening, reflection and integration. Mothers leave feeling grounded, soothed and reconnected to themselves — a feeling often missing in the early years.

Rest isn’t a luxury at Nest. It’s a fundamental part of healing.

The entire series is shaped by lived experience

As a mum of three, I know the weight of postpartum, physically, mentally and emotionally. I built the classes I wish I had. The classes that honour how motherhood truly feels. The classes that hold you, guide you and grow with you.

The series reflects everything Nest stands for:Specialist care. Warm community. Accessible movement. Thoughtful progression. A full-circle approach to wellbeing.

A pathway that finally makes sense of this season

Postpartum recovery is not linear, but your movement can be structured, supportive and clear.
