Meet our Teachers
The space is important. But it’s the people who make it feel the way it does.
At Nest, every class, every conversation, every moment is held by someone who truly understands this season of life.
We are mothers, teachers, space holders, listeners.
Each of us brings our own story, our own way of holding, our own quiet magic.
This page isn’t just about what we do.
It’s about who you’ll be met by when you walk through the door.

Holistic Sleep Coach
Sandy Schmied
Wildhood Sleep was born from who I am at my core, and what I believe childhood should be – full of scraped knees, muddy puddles, and big adventures. I grew up barefoot, up trees, and always up to no good, and I bring that same love for freedom and balance into my work. After 20 years as a nanny and newborn specialist, I realised I always had good sleepers – not by luck, but through gentle routines, intuitive care, and a deep understanding of each baby’s needs. Now, as a certified Holistic Sleep Coach, I help families find their unique rhythm, without strict schedules or “cry-it-out.” My approach looks at the whole picture – from temperament and routines to factors like low iron or tongue ties – to create personalised, gentle sleep support that works for real life. Because parenting is hard enough without running on empty (or crying over cold coffee).

Pregnancy Yoga Teacher
Stephanie Leskè
Stephanie’s yoga journey began five years ago, both on and off the mat, when she discovered how the practice could ground her through the burnout of working as a critical care nurse. A proud tree-hugger and self-confessed fascia enthusiast, she brings a deep curiosity and love of learning to everything she teaches. Alongside her Hatha training, Stephanie is trained in breathwork, cold-water therapy coaching, Myofascial Release yoga, Yin yoga, and pre & postnatal yoga. She has also completed CPD training in hands-on assists, trauma-informed yoga, and yoga for common injuries — giving her a thoughtful, inclusive, and body-aware approach to every class she leads.

Sensory Story Time Facilitator | Founder of Tiger Tails Sensory
Clare Hayes
Clare is a mum of two, and a passionate History teacher who brings both heart and creativity into everything she does. Clare deeply values family life and the everyday moments of motherhood. Whether she’s in the kitchen baking something delicious, curled up with a good book, or soaking up the sunshine with her children, she finds joy in the simple, meaningful rhythms of home and connection. Tiger Tails is a natural extension of Clare’s world, a space where her love for community, storytelling, music, and children comes together. Through her Sensory Story Time sessions at Nest, she creates a warm, welcoming environment where little ones are invited to explore stories in a hands-on, playful way. Clare’s sessions are gently guided, creative, and full of imagination, offering children the chance to move, discover, and express themselves, while parents feel part of something too.

Baby & Child CPR and Choking Workshop Facilitator
Lauren Herriot
Lauren is a paediatric first aid and CPR instructor and mum of two based in Glasgow. She helps parents and caregivers feel calmer and more confident when it comes to their child’s safety. With a background in emergency medicine and her own experience as a parent, Lauren understands how overwhelming it can feel when a baby or child becomes unwell or is in distress. Her sessions are designed to take away the fear and replace it with simple, practical steps that feel easy to remember in real life. Her approach is gentle, supportive, and down-to-earth, focusing on what parents need most in the moment—what to do in those first critical minutes. She covers CPR and choking response in babies and young children in a clear and reassuring way. The goal in all of her sessions is to create a calm, welcoming space for parents to learn these lifesaving skills together.

Her approach is coaching-led and body-informed, centred on creating structured, non-judgmental spaces where mothers can feel more settled, resourced, and less alone in their experience.
