If you have a toddler, you only get a handful of summers where puddles are irresistible, bubbles are magical and a trip to the park feels like the greatest adventure in the world.

We search for things to do with kids in Glasgow, fill our calendars with activities and wonder if we're making enough memories.

But when children look back on their childhood, they probably won't remember every expensive day out.

The picnic where everyone laughed.

The bubbles that floated across the grass.

Running barefoot.

Ice cream dripping down their hands.

Playing with children they've only just met.

We'll be spending the afternoon at Dumbreck Playbarn, where little ones can climb, explore and play to their hearts' content.

We're so excited to welcome Michelle from Shellebrations, who many of our families already know from our Halloween, Christmas and Easter events. She'll be bringing bubbles, games and interactive fun that always gets children laughing and smiling.

We're also delighted that The Bunch Club will be joining us with their beautiful Mobile Bloom Bar. Families will have the chance to create their own mini bouquet to take home, a lovely keepsake from the day and a chance to slow down, get creative and enjoy something a little different.

But the Summer Social isn't just about entertainment or activities.

It's about giving parents a chance to slow down.

To meet someone new.

To have a proper conversation over a coffee.

To watch your children make memories while you make connections of your own.

Because we believe community is just as important as play.

You don't have to know anyone
