Nessies Notes - A Scottish Music Class for age 5-9
for Age 5 - 9
Service Description
Dive into a world of rhythm, rhyme, and Highland magic! Nessie’s Notes is an interactive musical journey designed specifically for children aged 5–8. In this class, we don't just listen to music—we explore it. Named after Scotland’s most famous (and musical!) resident, our program encourages children to discover their hidden talents through a blend of traditional foundations and imaginative play. Our curriculum is built to foster a lifelong love of music while developing essential cognitive and social skills. Every session includes: • Rhythmic Exploration: • Melody and Pitch Introduction to pitch and keyboard skills. • Creative Composition: "Story-scoring" where children create sound effects and themes for Nessie’s underwater adventures. • Active Listening: Identifying instruments of the orchestra and the sounds of the world around us. • Social Harmony: Group singing and playing to build confidence and teamwork. At this age of development, children are ready to transition from the simple play of Piano Bairns to understanding the building blocks of music theory.
