Postpartum Recovery Is a Marathon, Not a Six-Week Sprint
Society tells women postpartum recovery should take six weeks. I’m here to tell you that postpartum is a marathon that lasts years. At Nest, I see it every single week. Mothers walking through our doors believing they are somehow behind because they still don’t feel like themselves months or even years after birth. They feel disconnected from their bodies. Exhausted. Overstimulated. Weak. Emotionally stretched. Frustrated that everyone else seems to have “bounced back.”
